In this category you will find a number of useful guides that aim to assist every member of staff in an organisation, in order to develop them to their full potential in the work that they undertake within the company and to support their personal career development.

The units in this section focus on generic employability skills needed for success in the workplace. Work skills units help provide people with good opportunities to develop their self-confidence. For many people, an early chance to work on knowledge & understanding that relate directly to the world of work will provide real benefits to their overall educational programme.

Work skills units are designed to help people to develop:

Skills and attitudes for employability
Positive attitudes to learning
An understanding of the workplace
Skills and knowledge in a broad area

Work skills units will also provide better understanding and attitudes for employability, including self-employment, such as:

Generic skills/attitudes valued by employers
Understanding of the workplace and the employee's responsibilities, for example time-keeping, appearance, customer care
Self-evaluation skills
Positive attitude to learning
Flexible approaches to solving problems
Adaptability and positive attitude to change
Confidence to set goals, reflect and learn from experience

Take a look at the menu on the left, you will find a whole host of units that offer exceptional value. You will also find on each unit page an exam associated with that unit, so you may test the level of your knowledge, and should you reach the required level of achievement, you will be awarded the E2Learn WINA certificate of achievement.
